Ginataang

Ingredients:

  • 3 kg live crabs (alimango)
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 head garlic, mashed
  • 5 thumb­size ginger, peeled and sliced
  • 4 pcs finger chilies, sliced on an angle
  • 2 large cans coconut milk
  • 1 large can coconut cream
  • 3 sachets 8g MAGGI MAGIC SARAP®

Directions:

  1. Place crab in a pot and barely cover with water. Bring to a boil, then cook for 2 minutes. Drain and set aside to cool. Separate the shell to remove the gills. Crack the claws and cut into serving pieces. Set aside.
  2. Combine garlic and oil in a large pan and saute for 1 minute. Add ginger and finger chilies, then saute for another minute. Pour in coconut milk, then simmer for 10 minutes.
  3. Add coconut cream and crabs. Simmer until sauce starts to thicken. Season with MAGGI MAGIC SARAP®.
  4. Check seasoning. Transfer into a serving plate and serve.
